The Power Anti-Aging Principles Behind a Bowl of Berries

Researchers inform us that a bowl of berries high in antioxidants is one of the best ways to ensure you live a long life.

Blueberries, cranberries, cherries, strawberries, raspberries, mulberries and boysenberries and do not forget red grapes, all pack a very superior antioxidant punch! The special ingredients behind this beautiful bunch is anthocyanins and proanthocyanidins (quite a mouthful - pardon the pun!).

These are eighteen times more potent and effective than the more popular Vitamin C for breaking down the nasty free radicals roaming around our bodies.

An ideal amount to have daily for superior long term results would be a cup of blueberries (or one of it's cousins listed above), a few prunes and five to seven servings of vegetables. This would give us an excellent dose of anti-aging antioxidants for maximum benefit.

TIP: For cost and ease of purchase - try buying berries which are in season and locally grown if possible.
